The most important duty of a US president is to defend and protect the United States from enemies foreign and domestic. This is a duty that President George W. Bush took very seriously, and he did not let his country down.
For seven years following the 9/11 attacks on the Pentagon and the World Trade Center, President Bush kept America safe from another attack by aggressively taking the fight to al-Qaeda, their infrastructure, and their allies. By treating terrorism as a war and authorizing enhanced interrogation techniques and eavesdropping on terrorist communications, Bush preventing another 9/11 style attack on Los Angeles and disrupted and stopped terrorist attacks around the world. Enhanced interrogation techniques such as sleep deprivation, playing loud music, scaring terrorists with insects, and painless water boarding gained more intelligence information that saved American lives than any program the CIA or FBI could come up with. Water boarding 9/11 mastermind Kalik Sheikh Mohammed enabled us to stop the planned 9/11 style attack on buildings in Los Angeles.
Three months into the new administration, Obama has prohibited our government from referring to the war against jihadists as the War on Terror, and terrorism is now referred to as a "man caused disaster". Our surrender operation in the War on Terror is called the "Overseas Contingency Operation". Future acts of terrorism against the United States will once again be treated as a mere law enforcement issue. This is the same failed Clinton policy of pacifism, appeasement, and retreat that resulted in eight terrorist attacks against the United States under Clinton's watch leading us to 9/11. As you read this, many of the procedures Bush put into place to keep us safe from future attack are being dismantled. Obama's recent public disclosure of classified records on the highly successful interrogation techniques authorized by the Bush administration is an act of treason. It comes as no surprise that Obama has refused to make public the records that prove the success of these interrogation techniques and the lives that were saved.
Obama has announced that the Bush administration architects of our interrogation policies may be charged with criminal acts. Never before has a sitting president criminalized the policies of a former president that he disagrees with. Taking criminal action against Bush justice department officials will be devastating to the security of our country.
Obama has declared that the greatest threat America faces is not from terrorists but from right wing conservatives, particularly members of our military who disagree with his radical socialist polices. Obama has already issued cuts in military spending and has ordered some of our vital missile defense systems be dismantled. These missile defense systems are designed to protect America and Europe from nuclear missile attack from rogue regimes and terrorist groups, North Korea, and Iran.
Official Obama foreign policy consists of trash talking the United States during his world wide apology tour and cozying up to our enemies such as Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro. If you are an enemy of the United States Obama loves you. If you are an ally of the United States Obama resents you.
Our boarders will remain open to those who wish to cause harm to America. Nut case Homeland Security Director Janet Napolitano has declared that illegally crossing our boarders is really not a crime. This will all be very comforting to terrorists around the world who wish to destroy America and our allies.
Weakening our military and removing successful tools for fighting terrorists will only embolden our enemies. Obama owns the next terrorist attack against America. When that day comes, you can thank an Obama voter.
