A new champion of the conservative movement burst on the scene in St. Paul, Minnesota. Articulating unabashed conservatism and good old fashion patriotism, Sarah Palin, Governor of the great state of Alaska electrified America and rallied the conservative base behind John McCain. And not a moment too soon.
A governor who most Americans never heard of a week ago is now a household name. Sarah Palin is intelligent, a gifted speaker, charismatic, witty, conservative, and a real person. Poor little Barack Obama. After the mainstream media mauled Sarah Palin and trashed her family for five days leading up to her historic speech, more Americans tuned in to watch her speech than Obama's acceptance speech. The Democrats and the mainstream media are terrified of Sarah Palin because she is a real person who appeals to all mainstream Americans. She is a working hockey mom who enjoys hunting and fishing!
Her acceptance speech was the greatest political speech since the great Ronald Reagan. With small town America appeal, Sarah Palin articulated conservative principles of limited government, lower taxes, strong national defense, and traditional values. She spoke about the greatness of America, and really took it to Obama and the do nothing Democrats. When was the last time we heard a Republican leader speak like this? Her speech was so refreshing. Democrats only speak about how rotten they think America is. Their pathetic speeches are littered with bogus stories about sad sacks who can not survive in America.
Sadly John McCain had to follow up Palin's historic speech with praise for Obama and more promises to reach across party lines and work with the communist Democrats. Palin is the perfect running mate for a candidate who is reluctant to take it to Obama and the Democrats. Conservatism wins every time it is tried in a national election. Sarah Palin is a proud American, a proud conservative, and a rare political leader.
Our next Vice President is a great American story who has achieved significant accomplishments as mayor of her hometown and as governor of Alaska. She opened more oil and natural gas resources for Alaska, fought corruption, eliminated wasteful spending, and balanced the budget. Palin is a leader who takes charge, not a timid politician who seeks consensus.
Thanks to Sarah America, the shinning city on a hill is about to shine a little brighter.
